The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) shall Prepare an All India List of the Candidates, who Obtain the Minimum Qualifying Marks in the Optical Mark-up Recognition Based Written Examination as fixed by the Commission at their discretion. The Candidates, who are declared Successful in the OMR Based Written Test of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I) 2019, will be Detailed in respect of the Intelligence and Personality Test (IPT) at the Service Selection Board based on their Preference by the respective Service Head Quarter.
UPSC Combined Defence Services (I) Examination 2019 Result:
The Union Public Service Commission will Announce in July 2019 the Result for the Combined Defence Services (I) Examination 2019.
THE CANDIDATES, WHO HAVE QUALIFIED IN THE WRITTEN TEST OF THE COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION, SHALL HAVE TO REGISTER THEMSELVES ON THE RECRUITING DIRECTORATE WEBSITE IN ORDER TO ENABLE THEM TO RECEIVE E-CALL UP FOR THE SERVICES SELECTION BOARD INTERVIEW. 
SSB Intelligence & Personality Test (IPT) 2019: 
The Candidates Declared Successful in the Combined Defence Services (I) Examination 2019 shall be put to Undergo the Intelligence and Personality Test to be conducted by the Services Selection Board as follows:
The SSB Procedure consists of two stage Selection process- Stage I and Stage II. Only those candidates who have cleared the Stage-I, shall be permitted to appear for Stage II. The details are:

Stage I comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Tests are Picture Perception *Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on combination of performance in QIR Test and PP and DT.
Stage II comprises Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over Four (04) days. The details of these tests are given on the Indian Army (Join Indian Army) Website.

Phase I
would comprise Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion Test

 
The Candidates declared QUALIFIED in Phase I shall be allowed to appear in Phase II.  The Candidates declared NOT QUALIFIED in Phase-I would be sent back.

Phase II
shall comprise Psychological Testing, Group Testing and Interview. The Test shall be held over Four (04) days.
The Successful Candidates shall be put to Medical Examination that would be held during 03 – 05 Days.

Selection Criteria:
The Candidates recommended by the Services Selection Boards (SSBs) and declared Medically Fit in the Medical Examination will be selected for Training in the Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala based on the All India Merit (AIM) and on the number of the Vacancies. The All India Merit will be prepared as per the SSB awarded Marks.
Procedure for Selection:
The Services Selection Board Interview spanning 03 – 05 Days shall be conducted in 02 (Two) Stages; viz., Stage I Test consists of the Intelligence Test (IT), Picture Perception Test (PPT) and Group Discussion (GD). Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II Test comprises Psychological Testing (PT), Group Testing (GT) and Personal Interview (PI), which shall last 04 Days. The Successful Candidates would, thereafter, be put to undergo Medical Examination (ME) (Approx. Duration 03 – 05 Days).

UPSC CDS 1 Exam Result 2019 Download Expected Cut Off Marks:
In view of the UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination (I), the Union Public Service Commission will releasing CDS-1 Result 2019 as well as the expected cutoff marks through its official web portal very shortly. The Commission conducted the Combined Defence Services Exam-1 on 3rd Feb 2019. The examination was conducted in online mode and it has been notified that the UPSC CDS 1 Result will soon be announced through upsc.gov.in.

As per the official notification, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will announcing CDS (I) expected cutoff marks within 15 days of the conducted examination. The written exam carried 4 sets of question paper namely Set A, B, C, & D. All the information regarding UPSC CDS (Phase-1) expected cutoff marks as well as CDS 1 result is being provided in the subsequent paragraphs.

The UPSC Combined Defence Services 1 exam was conducted on 3rd February 2019. The exam carried 3 sections of 100 marks each. The questions were asked from three sections namely: English, General Knowledge & Mathematics.
With the CDS Preliminary Exam being successfully conducted, the Union Public Service Commission is obliged to release set wise (Set-A/B/C/D) CDS-I Exam expected cutoff marks within 2 weeks of the commencement of examinations. Only those candidates will be eligible for further stage of Selection procedure who gets more than or equal to the expected cutoff marks/minimum qualification marks in the UPSC CDS 1 examination.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will declare the CDS-I result through the official portal of upsc.gov.in. The official dates of announcement of Cbd. Defence Services Examination (CDSE) have not been specified by the Commission till now. But, it is expected to be released soon. As soon as the results are being declared, the candidates will be shortlisted and will be intimated for next round of Selection Procedure.

 Selection Procedure
All the candidates who have qualified the UPSC CDS 1 (Preliminary Exam) will be intimated regarding SSB (Service Selection Board) Interview round. Based upon the marks obtained in CDS 1 examinations and SSB Interview, final merit list will be made and the shortlisted candidates will be selected.
However, it is also important to know that the candidates need to undergo Medical Fitness test before the final selection.

LATEST NEWS 07/01/2019: The UPSC ESE Prelims general rank will be cut off 55% more than ten thousand applicants examined Indian Engineer Service on 6th Jan 2019 (Sunday) in the various examination centers of the Patna, the students started come at the examination centers from 8 am. At the same time, experts have expressed the hope that the general general category will be around 55% of the cut off marks. Sadar sub-divisional officer, Mr. Suharsh Bhagat, said that the examination in two colleges at 22 examination centers was peaceful.

The Union Public Service Commission shall, at its Discretion, Determine the Category-wise Minimum Qualifying Marks to be Secured in each Paper (Paper – I & Paper – II) under Category – I Civil Engineering, Category – II Mechanical Engineering, Category – III Electrical Engineering and Category – IV Electronics and Tele-Communication Engineering comprising Paper – I & Paper – II) and in Aggregate out of 500 Marks.

The Candidates having Obtained the Minimum Qualifying Marks in the Engineering Services / Indian Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination 2018 as Stipulated by the Union Public Service Commission would be Shortlisted for Appearing in the Engineering Services (Main) Examination / Indian Engineering (Main) Examination 2018 scheduled to be conducted on the 1st Date of July 2018 (01.07.2018). . The Engineering Services Examination 2018 (All India Competitive Test / All India Competitive Examination) consists of 02 Papers comprising the Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type carrying Maximum 500 Marks as per the Pattern of the Examination exhibited in the Tabular Form in the subsequent Part.
UPSC ESE / IES (Main) Examination Date 2018
The Union Public Service Commission Notified Single Day Stage – II of the Engineering Services / Indian Engineering (Main) Examination 2018 to be held on the 1st Day of July 2018 will consist of Two Conventional Type Papers in the Engineering Discipline specific with the Examination Duration of 03 (Three) Hours and Maximum Marks 600 (300 Marks in each Paper).
The Engineering Services (Main / Stage – II) Examination will consist of Two Conventional Type Papers in the Engineering Discipline specific with the Examination Duration of 03 (Three) Hours and Maximum Marks 600 (300 Marks in each Paper).
The Candidates Shortlisted in the Engineering Services / Indian Engineering Services (Main / Stage – II) Examination shall be Summoned to Appear in a Personality Test / Interview to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission somewhere in October / November 2018.

Procedure for Selection:
The Engineering Services Examination / Indian Engineering Services (All India Competitive Examination) was conducted according to the following Selection Plan:

Stage-I: Engineering Services (Preliminary / Stage-I) Examination (Objective Type Papers) comprising the Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type Questions carrying Maximum 500 Marks (Paper 1 – 200 Marks & Paper II – 300 Marks for Selection of the Candidates for the Stage – II of the Engineering Services Examination (ESE): Engineering Services (Main / Stage-II) Examination;
Stage-II: Engineering Services (Main / Stage – II) Examination (Conventional Type Papers) carrying Maximum 600 Marks and
Stage-III: Personality Test for Total 200 Marks.

UPSC Engineering Services Examination Personality Test Carrying 200 Marks:
The Candidates, who obtain such Minimum Qualifying Marks in the Stage – I: Engineering Services (Preliminary / Stage – I) and Stage – II: Engineering Services (Main / Stage – II) Examination as may be fixed by the Union Public Service Commission at their discretion, shall be summoned by them for Stage – III (Personality Test). The number of the Candidates to be summoned for Personality Test shall be about Twice the number of Vacancies to be filled. The Personality Test will carry 200 Marks (with No Minimum Qualifying Marks).
The Marks obtained by Un-Reserved / General Candidates unalike those belonging to Reserved Categories in the Stage – I: (Preliminary / Stage – I) Examination, Stage- II: (Main / Stage – II) Examination and Stage – III (Personality Test) would Determine their Individual Final Ranking.
The Candidates would be allotted to Various Services keeping in view their Respective Ranks in the Engineering Services Examination and the Preference expressed by them for Various Services / Posts.
In the Personality Test, Special Attention will be paid to Assessing the Candidate’s Capacity for Leadership, Initiative and Intellectual Curiosity, Tact and other Social Qualities, Mental and Physical Energy, Powers of Practical Application and Integrity of the Character.
